Now a different kind of issue is in the news in the education department of Bihar, which was in the news because of Additional Chief Secretary KK Pathak. This new thing has come to light between the MDM in-charge and the Block Education Extension Officer (BEO) regarding the mid-day meal being run in schools in Teghra block of Begusarai. The MDM in-charge has accused Teghra’s Block Education Extension Officer Ram Uday Mahato of molestation. . He has also been accused of mentally harassing me and calling me to his house in the dark of night. The matter has reached the police station.
In the FIR lodged in Mahila police station, the victim said that Teghra BEO Ram Uday Mahato talked obscenely on mobile phone on January 5. The victim has also been threatened with removal from job and dire consequences if she complains to the Education Department officials regarding the incident and opposes the dirty obscene activities of Teghra BEO. After the FIR was registered, the Mahila police station started investigating the case.

The victim told that she has been working as MDM in-charge in Teghra block for 4 years. About 6 months ago, Ram Uday Mahato had come as BEO and since then his evil eye was on him. Used to send different types of emoji messages through WhatsApp and asked to come to the camp at night.

The victim told that he used to call and ask for photographs and if he did not agree, he repeatedly threatened to vacate her office located in BRC. There was a debate regarding this also. He even said that if you don’t listen to me, I will ruin you. The victim says that the BEO used to send messages on WhatsApp to the woman whose DP he found beautiful. Before coming to Teghra block, he was working in Khagaria. There also he used to send dirty messages to the teachers. He used to invite people to his house, an FIR has also been registered against him for this.

In this matter, the Block Education Officer said that whatever allegations have been made are baseless. Earlier I had filed an FIR, in retaliation the MDM officer has registered a case. Here, SP Yogendra Kumar said that on the basis of the application of the MDM in-charge, a case has been registered in the women’s police station. Taking the matter seriously, Sadar DSP Amit Kumar has been instructed to investigate. Further action will be taken only after investigation.
